KCEOC Head Start & Clay County Preschool Screenings

2023/2024 School Year for 3 and 4 Year Olds

For All Head Start and Clay Preschool Locations

Children who are 3 or 4 including children with special needs by August 1, 2023 are eligible for Head Start

Children who are 4 by August 1, 2023 or are 3 with a disability are eligible for Preschool

Screenings will take place from 8:30-2:00 at the following locations:

April 14^th- Manchester Elementary

April 21^th- Hacker Elementary

May 19^th- Big Creek Elementary

June 2nd- Paces Creek Head Start Center

If you are unable to attend the screening closest to your home, please attend a different screening

If you live in the Oneida and Goose Rock Community, you are encouraged to come to the May 19^th screening at Big Creek, but you may bring your child to any of the locations to be screened

On the day of the screening please bring proof of income (W-2 or tax return preferred)

Within the first 30 days of school the following information is needed:

·         Birth Certificate

·         Physical exam

·         Immunization Certificate

·         Eye Exam

·         Dental Exam

·         Social Security Card (optional)

We encourage all children to apply for KCEOC Head Start/Clay County Preschool, including children that are homeless and children with disabilities. Program determination is based on income eligibility. Homeless Children are given priority. Transportation services will be provided when possible.
