REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Clay County Board of Education, Child Nutrition Services is accepting proposals for the following: Two (2) new serving lines to be installed at Clay County Middle School and modifications to current serving lines (details in the attached RFP). All participants are required to perform a pre-bid visit to evaluate the space. Proposals must include: complete turn key installation – freight, inside delivery, removal and disposal of all packing materials, full installation and final hook-up by an approved and certified installer (including extra utility work required for electric, plumbing, gas and water).
This is a negotiated procurement utilizing the Request for Proposal method, and as such, the award does not have to be made to the company submitting the lowest price proposal. Bid award will be given to the company submitting the best responsive proposal, satisfying the requirements of Clay County Child Nutrition Services.
All proposals must be complete. No bidder shall be able to withdraw its bid within 30 days after the bid opening date.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria listed on page 3 of the bid documents. Recommendations will be presented to the Board of Education by the Food Service Director. Bid award announcements will be sent by electronic mail. Clay County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept bids which are more advantageous to the School Nutrition Program.
Please return your completed sealed proposal in response to this RFP to Clay County Board of Education – Food Service Department, 128 Richmond Road, Manchester, KY 40962. Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 pm, Thursday, February 20. The bid envelope is to be marked per instructions in the bid invitation. Clay County Board of Education cannot be responsible for proposals received too late for consideration due to late mail delivery.
